The "Friday Night Fish Fry" hosted by Norm Rosen joins the "Blues" lineup on WCUW 91.3 FM / www.wcuw.org

WCUW at 91.3 FM, Worcester's non-commercial community access radio station since 1973, is pleased to announce the inclusion of Norm Rosen and his new program, "Friday Night Fish Fry" into our Friday evening Blues lineup. The "Friday Night Fish Fry" will air from 9 pm - 12 midnight.

With the addition of the "Friday Night Fish Fry" WCUW will be home to the largest (known) "locally-produced" Blues block of programming in New England. The "Friday Night Fish Fry" will follow the "Friday Night Blues" program airing from 5 pm to 9 pm hosted by Darren Pinto and Andrew Salek, aka the Blues Hog. Combined with the long-running Saturday night program, "Blues Hit Big Town" airing from 6 pm - 9 pm, WCUW will be home to 10 hours of Blues-rooted music every week! "Blues Hit Big Town" is hosted alternate weeks by Marty Ayotte and Blues Mike Warren!

Norm Rosen, founding host of the long-running "Saturday Night Fish Fry" heard over WICN 90.5 FM is moving to WCUW 91.3 FM / www.wcuw.org/listen. Norm will debut his new program, "Friday Night Fish Fry" this Friday December 27th immediately after the live broadcast of the Chris Fitz Band from the WCUW FRONTROOM.

Norm began his radio career in the late 80's on an alternative rock station in Pittsburgh, PA and ultimately found his way to WICN 90.5 FM in 1989. Norm: "I'm thankful to WICN for twenty-one spectacular years that allowed me to share the Blues and insight of the genre with 1000's of people, and to build a fantastic weekly Blues showcase.

As change will happen, I'm excited, and honored, to begin a new chapter of the "Fish Fry" on a new day across town on community radio WCUW 91.3 FM. I'm confident that my unique mix of Blues, the Brain Trust I've built, and humor that you've depended on over the decades, will complement the rich mix of music and news found on WCUW. And as will be the case with my debut, periodically, the first hour or so of the "Friday Night Fish Fry" will be interrupted with live performances.
