Abby has been a volunteer DJ at WFHB since the summer of 2021. In 2022 she received the 'New Music Volunteer of the Year' award from WFHB for “excellence in reviewing music, hosting live sessions, promotions, and radio programming.” As the WFHB Firehouse Session Coordinating Producer, Abby has produced and hosted numerous live in-studio sessions with national touring artists, showcasing her skills as both an interviewer and coordinator. Abby’s been an active member of the community for the past 15 years - as a co-founder of The Green Nursery, serving on the Board at Bloomington Area Birth Services (2010-2013) and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard (2014-2019). She was Sycamore Land Trust’s Outstanding Outreach Volunteer in 2015 and was also awarded Bloomington’s 10 Under 40 in 2015 by the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. These days, you can find her on the radio on Mondays from 3-5 pm EST, at a show, or at home hanging out with her husband and teenagers.
