Hi KPC and Hi jimbeaux! @KPC -- loved your story about your 8 yr. old qualifying everything with quotation marks! @jimbeaux -- "love crackles" is the best new term to enter into my vocabulary! I want to try to work it into as many conversations as possible; crediting you in all instances!

And yes -- LOVE hearing Opal again! It is an album that has absolutely 0 weaker tracks! A masterpiece!

I was trying to remember what unexpected context it was that I saw something about Jenny Hval. I just figured it out -- In the "Briefly Noted" column in the Nov. 9th New Yorker, there is a review of the brand-new (Oct. 2020) translation of her experimental novel "Girl Against God" (originally, "Å hate Gud") (p. 65).

Oh interesting. I didn't even know she wrote novels!

Yes METZ is super noisy...this new one is striving for some more textured noise I think.

Yeah, I feel like METZ' sound has really developed and improved over the last several records. I think "more textured" is a spot-on description too. Exactly.

I feel like I'll have to play Nico's The Marble Index while reading these.
