This Frank Foster record is another WeWantSounds reissue. Really impressed with the diversity of their releases.

Not a bit! I started trying to support/find more NJ bands about a year ago. Always genuinely excited to find a new one.

If this were a bit, it would be a pretty mean bit, which are bad.

Fascinating! I went to see him talk at Princeton when I was in high school. He's always been one of my favorites. Every time I hear one of his more recent records it is easy to find at least one good song for the radio...

Starting with the one in Patterson I tried to hit up right before the pandemic hit!

Hoax! Best pizza, Tacconelli's, Port Richmond, you have to order the dough three days ahead of picking up your pie, I learned the hard way!

My NJ/Universe favorite is Delorenzo's. Johns of Bleecker in NYC. I've only had Pepe's in CT. Philly is Angelo's, but some of that Old Forge stuff is actually enjoyable.

Food & Wine's Top 100 Pizzas In The County is always an important list to me, especially when I traveled more / at all.

Never a wait at the south Jersey Tacconelli's!

Old Forge was a trip. Ended up there by accident due to a snowstorm with my dad last February.

I was simply glad I did not have to reserve dough when we went! The pie we got with provolone on it was sharp and tasty.

Childhood fave Amato's Pizza Fairless Hills/ Levittown for the chewy saucy just right bread still bringing it 50 yrs on. Locals Dominicks Original of Dublin Pa for their Brooklyn (aka grandma) square . And DeLorenzo's Hamilton Sloan Ave for the thin Chent'n representation perfection . Randazzos of Jamison Pa makes a good pie too especially the sq grandma. V&S of Fairless Hills were good back in day. Down the road a bit Julio's for the inside out pizza! And their steak in a pouch

The De Lorenzo's in Robbinsville is my favorite of the acclaimed locals but I think Classico is underrated around here especially since they do both an Indian pie and a mustard pie.

Yeah, a tomato pie with some spicy mustard on the dough before the sauce and cheese go on. It is, as my sister put it, "strangely compelling." Should not work but I love it!!

The place I used to get mustard pies from is off our rotation these days so I am glad someone else does it real well.

The mumbai pie is another winner. Spicy with potato, cauliflower, cheese, spices, hot peppers...

I had to go to Elizabeth and back yesterday and I was sad it was not on a day where I could visit Santillo's. So instead I purchased an eggplant parm with extra hot peppers on my return drive.

Mark, I enjoyed the TV version of Condor so much (scratched a good political thriller itch) that I tracked down season one at my library so I could finish the final two episodes before EPIX aired 'em! That was Monday night.

I just looked at the postcards on Flickr. Surreal!

Cool stuff, right? The one to Esoterica with all the pen marks on the window like stained glass has really stayed with me.

I hope I'm not embarrassing the artist like this but they clearly listen and the DJs are really loving their work.

Yeah, I use the library DVDs for movies I can't find elsewhere / aren't streaming yet. For example, my evening with TENET.

Ice Pirates was impossible to find so for that I went to "ask Dan Buskirk and he lent it to me."
