Are You Out There? exists at the intersections where music and queer identity collide with history and pop culture. From the clubs to the riots to the mainstream, queer artists have always used music to express themselves. Join me as we cross genres like folk, electronic, punk, and indie and themes like soundtracks, jukebox classics, gender-defying anthems, and the songs we put on our mixtapes. Queer artists (and their friends) will be showcased to weave a musical narrative that honors the spirit of our ancestors and celebrates the glorious voices leading us into a Gay New World.
