2 Reel explores the relationship between film and music. A focus is put on certain themes from the film and the songs that are selected relate to them. The music is just as important as the film. The first talk segment of the show consists of the DJs catching up those who may have never seen the film by giving information about the year it was made, director, main characters, and main conflicts. The rest of the talk breaks consist of the DJs discussing the songs they selected and how they relate to the film.
