KRVM is listener-powered radio that provides local students the opportunity to try radio broadcasting, Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm. A dedicated group of volunteer DJs provide a variety of music that complete the rest of the schedule.

With KRVM DJ

As part of Eugene School District 4J, KRVM is first and foremost an educational resource for Eugene-area high school students, where students from area schools learn radio broadcasting in a real-world environment.

At KRVM’s Main Studio, located at Sheldon High School, our professional Program Director selects a broad mix of Adult Album Alternative (AAA, or β€œTriple A”) music that appeals to our listening audience. Basically, if it's good, we'll play it!

Through classroom and on-air training, student DJs learn to deliver this pre-programmed musical mix, along with public service announcements, KRVM show promos, and some music they’ve chosen for their listeners.
