The War and Treaty “If It's in Your Heart”
from Healing Tide (Thirty Tigers 2018) N  —It wasn't until I typed their name that my conscious brain realized what my subconscious brain was doing playing this now.

War “Don't Let No One Get You Down”
from Why Can't We Be Friends? (United Artists 1975) —It's nice to hear some of the deeper War cuts now and then.

Billy F Gibbons “Crackin' Up”
from The Big Bad Blues (Concord Records unk 2018) N  —I bet he put on a great show at the Pageant last night.

Summer Magic “Charles De Gaulle in the Afternoon”
from Sharks and Other Dangers (Summer Magic 2018) N L —One of the best bands in St. Louis finally has an album out.

Dwight Twilley Band “Could Be Love”
from Sincerely (MCA url 1976) —I don't mind playing some more Twilley!

John Henry “Fade to Black”
from Dark City Dark Country (John Henry 2016) L —Talented singer songwriter from our fair city.

Aimee Mann “Labrador”
from Charmer Single (Superego 2012) —If they still made box sets, you could make a pretty dang impressive one out of Mann's excellent catalog.

Elvis Presley “My Little Friend”
from From Elvis In Memphis: Legacy Edition (RCA 2008) —Nice little track from the bonus disc of this reissue.

Jill Sobule “I Don't Wanna Wake Up”
from Nostalgia Kills (Pinko 2018) N  —She writes straight-forward, small but wonderful pop songs.

Gram Parsons “The New Soft Shoe”
from GP (Warner Bros. url 1973) —I still don't know what he's going on about in this song, but I'm always glad to hear it.

Buffalo Springfield “Hot Dusty Roads”
from Buffalo Springfield (ATCO 1966) —These guys had so many classic songs, I can't keep them all in my head at once.

Son Volt “Back into Your World”
from Straightaways (Warner Bros. url 1997) L —From their second album, which is now old enough to drink.

The Jayhawks “Come Cryin' to Me”
from Back Roads and Abandoned Motels (Legacy 2018) N  —If you add up the years these first three artists have been making records, you get more than 110.

Peter Holsapple “Not Right Now”
from Game Day (Omnivore Recordings 2018) N  —One of the greatest songwriters of my life, and he's still going strong.

Joan Armatrading “Always in My Dreams”
from Not Too Far Away (BMG Rights Management (UK) Limited 2018) N  —Yup, it's another rock solid album from this great singer/songwriter.
