The Folk Show
The Folk Show encompasses both modern and traditional folk music. The format is mostly acoustic and singer/songwriter,but rules are made to be broken, and often are.
Tin Pan Alley Hootenanny (Various/Mix)
Tin Pan Alley Hootenanny is a survey of programming from the early days of radio as the publishers in Tin Pan Alley moved their focus from sheet music to phonograph records. We’ll explore the music and content of the 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s and, hopefully, learn something about where our culture is by learning about where we’ve been. We will occasionally play contemporary artists who either meet the spirit or the sound of our historical target. A hootenanny is an informal gathering that sometimes has dancing. Feel free to dance if want to.
