1:00am   Dave

Armando will now go to sleep on his side, but I shall hear you on the other side!

1:00am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Sure thing!

12:58am   Dave

Cool! Thanks for checking!

12:58am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Classic Zep!!

12:57am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Thanks Armando for the Inland Empire cd, still got lots of other tracks on it, that I will be playing on future shows! Good night!

12:57am   Dave

This is nice, "Gallows Pole" from my favorite Zepp album, Led Zeppelin III.

12:56am   Apoplectic Armando of the IE

Well Boss Guy, it's time for me to say "Adios", "Aloha", "Auf Wiedersehen", "Au Revoir". Thanks for playing a couple of tunes from the "Inland Empire Nuggets" compilation.

12:56am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

I might have that record at home, but I may have also sold it! I'll check this week and bring it, if still own a copy!

12:56am   Dave

Oh well, we're all out of time on the BGC show - I'll just save my requests for the World show.

12:56am   Apoplectic Armando of the IE

The Ken Burns Vietnam documentary is great but very depressing to watch.

12:54am   Dave

Seventh Sojourn (1972)

12:52am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Dave...I don't have that Moody Blues request on anything I brought with me tonight! What album is You And Me from?

12:41am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Thanks BroManKurt!

12:39am   BroManKurt

Finally just home, but I've been Listenin from the Road, great show as always Boss!

12:38am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Let me check to see if I brought Dave!

12:35am   Dave

Could you play "You and Me" by The Moody Blues? (if available)

12:32am   Dave

Probably because I was listening to that song and album a lot when I was going through a very dark period in my life.

12:28am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Yeah, I haven't played it much on the show, but was listening to it this week and loved this song all over again, Dave!

12:27am   Dave

Man, I don't think I've heard "Entangled" (or the Trick of the Tail album) in almost 30 years!

12:23am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Of course! I didn't think otherwise Jeff! Todd is Godd!!

12:21am   Jeff from Santa Ana

With respect of course, it's always appreciated! I always like your choices!

12:18am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Lol! You know me too well Jeff!

12:17am   Jeff from Santa Ana

And now "The Todd Interlude" portion of the show!

12:06am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

I heard that Ken Burns documentary on Viet Nam is fantastic Armando!?

12:05am   Dave

Yeah, that's definitely a rip-off of the "Dear Prudence" intro.

12:05am   Jeff from Santa Ana

Hey "strictly commercial", is that a Zappa "Yellow Snow" reference???

12:04am   Dave

Wow! That was a bad edit on that Vanilla Fudge track, on an already bad single version! That song was always meant to be heard in the long format.

12:02am   Apoplectic Armando of the IE

That VANILLA FUDGE tune was used in one of the episodes of the Ken Burns "Vietnam War" documentary. That made it a bit chilling to hear now.

12:00am   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

you got it!

11:59pm   strictly commercial

Any hit(s) will do: no deep cuts

11:57pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

I have both, strictly commercial;! Any song in particular??

11:55pm   strictly commercial

Got any Monkees or 3DogNight?

11:54pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

You snoozing again Armando?...haha!

11:53pm   Apoplectic Armando of the IE

I must have missed your announcement "Goss Buy". Sorry for the repeat info.

11:47pm   Dave

Years ago, I always thought that Jerry Lee Lewis did a guest appearance on "California Man" - a great vocal impression by Jeff Lynn!!

11:46pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

The Move channeling Jerry Lee Lewis!

11:45pm   Dave

And now, time to get California-ized!!!

11:43pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Both great Dave!

11:43pm   Dave

And also a nice cover of "Dreams" by Buddy Miles Express!

11:42pm   Dave

Very, VERY cool Lightnin' Rod ancient hip-hop tune with Hendrix jamming alongside!

11:40pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

It was Armando, I did mention that Buddy played drums and organ on that Hendrix/ Lightnin' Rod song, on air before playing it!

11:37pm   Apoplectic Armando of the IE

I think that was BUDDY MILES on drums on that LIGHTNING ROD tune.

11:33pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

So awesome for sure AL Z! Yeah, paid a whole quarter for this compilation cd! Hendrix sounds really funky on this track!

11:32pm   Al Z

This is Hendrix gold, Boss Guy! You definitely had a great day today!

11:28pm   Jeff from Santa Ana

The liner notes on my copy say that it was some kind of 'prison rap'

11:28pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Yeah, there are 3 versions Jeff! One without Hendrix, this one with Hendrix and another that I can't remember at the moment!

11:26pm   Jeff from Santa Ana

I have that piece, can't remember where. The version I have is different than this, though.

11:20pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

That's cool Armando! Thanks again for the cdr, lots of groovy things from the Inland Empire, back in the day!

11:18pm   Apoplectic Armando of the IE

Oooo. "Feeling Sad And Lonely" by THE BUSH from Rialto, who opened for the ROLLING STONES in 1964 in San Bernardino!

11:15pm   Al Z

I meant ...un-Association...

11:14pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Thanks Al Z! It was a little scratchy1

11:13pm   Al Z

This is certainly in-Association...far removed from Windy and Cherish. Sounds great! No skips or pops on this disc. You scored big, Boss Guy!

11:11pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Haven't we all!

11:10pm   Apoplectic Armando of the IE

"All that's left for me to do is cry". I've had days like that.

10:59pm   Dave

Wow!! Are you using sandpaper for a turntable stylus?

10:58pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Thanks Jessica! Just found that Holloway song on a compilation today!

10:56pm   jessica

Wow. Brenda Holloway! I love this song. Way to go Boss Guy!

10:55pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

I'm with you Armando, just hope it doesn't skip!

10:55pm   Al Z

Just chillin' with the Boss Guy's heavy hits.

10:54pm   Apoplectic Armando of the IE

I can't wait to hear "PGHJ" by THE ASSOCIATION. The more scratchy, the better.

10:50pm   Dave

Thanks John!

10:50pm   Dave

Heyyyyyyyyy, Al Z!!! What's shakin'?

10:47pm   Al Z

Hey, Dave, join the party!

10:46pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

I do Dave! Kept forgetting to play it!

10:45pm   Al Z

Spin it anyway, Mr. DJ!

10:45pm   Dave

Do you have my request from a few weeks ago, "California Man" by The Move?

10:44pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Hey Dave!

10:43pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Well, it is a bit scratched up, so hopefully it'll play through AL Z!

10:42pm   Dave

Good evening Boss Guy and everyone listening!

10:42pm   Al Z

Great, Boss Guy, but even better you got it on the cheap! Yeah!

10:37pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Al Z...I picked up a cheap copy of The Association record, "Renaissance", which has your request from last week on it, Pandora's Golden Heebie Jeebies. Will play it soon!

10:35pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Hey Al Z!

10:33pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)

Don't own any Baby Huey , Glen!

10:32pm   AggravatedGlen

You have Baby Huey with you tonight?

10:27pm   Al Z

10:27pm   Apoplectic Armando of the IE

10:12pm   Dr T

10:12pm   AggravatedGlen

10:09pm   Boss Guy In Claremont (host)
