Cookin' With Jazz (Music)

Jazz from A to Z and beyond, with sounds that range from straight ahead post-bop to down-in-the-basement mellow to great vocalists to transgalactic genius. The Hurricane starts and ends the month on first and fourth Fridays with eclectic shows that sparkle and flow with style and momentum. Geitz Romo, up on the 2nd Friday and armed with an encyclopedic knowledge of the genre, always puts it down right on the money. Lady Jae rounds out the lineup on third Fridays with a sound so varied and smooth you'll think you've achieved nirvana. Mike McClure does a masterful job of picking up the 5th show in months with 5 Fridays in them. Yeah, jazz, real jazz, and lots of it.
