Frequency Theory (Music)

Frequency Theory is a show about musical intersections – where jazz meets hip hop, punk and funk converge, turntablism overlaps with soul, folk shares a spliff with its psychedelic brethren, and industrial hits the disco dancefloor. The very nature of music, of culture itself, is characterized by a constant melding and morphing of two into one, and that into another. There is no “pure” in art or music – every form and every artifact is a bastard child of bastard parents -a DNA that can be traced to the beginning of art itself. Some call it remix, others may call it fusion, but at Frequency Theory we simply call it sound.
