On To The Core DJ’s Ethan and Jaya explore and dissect a new “core” subgenre of alternative music, covering which bands shaped the genre, fan favorites, and who's currently fronting the scene. Every week we’ll spend two hours listening to a new subgenre ranging from hardcore, metalcore, skramz, and grindcore, to slowcore, post-punk, and emo. Plus Jaya and Ethan will spend plenty of time gatekeeping, arguing over genre labeling, defending our favorite bands (and the ones we hate), and covering niche band drama that plagues twitter.
