Elektrojazz is founded by Swedish trombone player Anders Larson, who has been living in Copenhagen, Denmark for many years. The line up in the band is trombone, Fender Rhodes electric piano, electric bass, and drums.With an urge to try a new musical direction, bandleader and composer Anders Larson has stepped out of the world of modern acoustic jazz and created his own universe of funky groove jazz, latin, soul and acid jazz. Is the world ready for a new old sound in jazz? Elektrojazz? goal is to produce the genuine feel and sound of a seventies recording with a modern flavor, using both vintage instruments and recording equipment and up to date computer software for editing/mixing.

Bobby Troup got the idea for the song on a cross-country drive fromÿPennsylvaniaÿtoÿCalifornia. Troup wanted to try his hand as aÿHollywoodÿsongwriter, so he and his wife, Cynthia, packed up their 1941 Buick and headed west. The trip began onÿUSÿ40ÿand continued alongÿUSÿ66ÿto the California coast. Troup initially considered writing a tune about USÿ40, but Cynthia suggested the title "Get Your Kicks on Route 66". The song was composed on the ten-day journey, and completed by referring to maps when the couple arrived in Los Angeles

Because of a directive by theÿBBCÿat the time that songs did not includeÿbrandÿnames in theirÿlyrics, a UK re-recorded version of "Beep Beep" was recorded for theÿEuropeanÿmarket replacing theÿCadillacÿandÿNash Ramblerÿwith the generic termsÿlimousineÿandÿbubble car. In December 1958, Time credited the popularity "Beep Beep" with helping Nash Motors break records. In November 1958, the company doubled its previous year's production record with 26,782 cars; Ramblers accounted for 9.2% of October 1958's automobile sales in the United States; and though "total U.S. exports slid 16% in 1958, Rambler's climbed 10.3%.

The band performed the album in its entirety on September 14, 2001. The performance was subsequently released on the live albumÿGodWeenSatan Liveÿin 2016.
