Bad Luck Moon
It's Friday the 13th and there's a full Harvest Moon-a-risin' this evening. The sky is busy and so am I, scrambling to line-up odes to what controls the tides and occasionally one's mood.

Woodstock 50- Do You Still Trust Anyone Over 30?
I wouldn't. But I don't trust anyone. I have nothing new to add to the Woodstock story. It's all been said. However, the tunes have aged well and will continue until Woodstock 100 and beyond. Richie Havens, Ten Years After, The Who, Joan Baez, Jefferson Airplane, Arlo Guthrie, Jimi Hendrix and dozens of other bands wowed the crowd half a million strong. Jerry Garcia 8/1/42 - 8/9/95
We find ourselves in the midst of what's become a celebration of the life of Jerry Garcia. He was born on the first of August and died on the ninth of the month. His guitar playing spoke so clearly that lyrics were rarely needed to convey exactly what the song was saying. However, when Jerry's music was paired with the words of his songwriting partner Robert Hunter the result is American music that will last as long as their are people with ears. As Bob Dylan wrote the day after Garcia's death, "...It just digs down really deep."
