Bringing together and broadcasting his lifelong love for the music, prose, poetry, and propaganda of the Celtic nations of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Man, Brittany, Galicia, and the Celtic Diaspora. Friends and neighbors...
Sometimes it’s well nigh impossible not to dip down into those Dark Places. Sometimes it’s actually a good idea to go there and plumb their Depths: alluring and validating. Thankfully, ‘sometimes’ is not All the time.
This week’s Eclecti-Celt found me hitting the darker music pretty hard—for the first half hour. Then something—someone—happened: Rónán Ó Snodaigh. “Raise the Road.” The beat and rhythm and lyrics turned what could have been a show that made you want to cram a pillow into your breathing tube—into INVIGORATION. At least for myself. Go raith maith agat.
