Pop! The Beat Bubble Burst explores the music of the sixties with an emphasis on British Invasion and Mersey Beat. It then traces those branches to the present day by playing music that echoes the music of the sixties including power pop, jangle pop, pub rock, glitter and glam rock, neo-psychedelia and indie pop.

11:42 AM		The Shadows Midnight The Early Years 1959-1966 Parlophone UK 1991 Peter Green first played bass guitar in a band called Bobby Dennis and the Dominoes, which performed pop chart covers and rock 'n' roll standards, including Shadows covers. He later stated that Hank Marvin was his guitar hero and he played the Shadows' song "Midnight" on the 1996 tribute album Twang.

11:52 AM		Fleetwood Mac Albatross Then Play On Reprise 1969 From Wikipedia: In an interview in 1987, (Bealte, George) Harrison said that the recording (of The Beatles' "Sun King") was inspired by Fleetwood Mac's "Albatross". "At the time, 'Albatross' (by Fleetwood Mac) was out, with all the reverb on guitar. So we said, 'Let's be Fleetwood Mac doing Albatross, just to get going.' It never really sounded like Fleetwood Mac... but that was the point of origin." I've also seen where Peter Green was inspired to write "Albatross" after hearing Santo & Johnny's "Sleepwalk".
