It then traces those branches to the present day by playing music that echoes the music of the sixties including power pop, jangle pop, pub rock, glitter and glam rock, neo-psychedelia and indie pop.

Pepper Art of Time Recordings / Pheromone Distribution 2013 The Art of Time Ensemble includes many creative endeavors including art, dance, creative writing and music. | John Lennon And Elton John I Saw Her Standing There The Toy Boy Bag Records 1981 Elton John joined John Lennon on piano and vocals for Lennon's 1974. Elton said, "It's going to be a #1". Lennon said if it is, he'd join him on stage. The song hit #1, so Lennon agreed to join Elton on Thanksgiving for his Madison Square Garden show. He performed three songs with Elton, "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", "Whatever Gets You Through The Night" and This one. Here is a rehearsal version of the track done a day or 2 prior to the concert. This song was suggested by my friend, Eric Mueller (Host of the Pod-cast-like program - The Eric Mueller Show from The Rock n Roll Vault). He appears here more in support of Merle who doesn't seem to have his heart in it on this one. I once had the pleasure of interviewing Ken who said one of their biggest thrills was when they were played Ringo Starr's cover of their "Golden Blunders".

This track appeared on this compilation, but I can't find out when it was recorded or info about who the two voices are. One of the voices is a woman, but the lineup of the band never included a woman. It's a bit of a mystery.

Husband-and-wife duo the Handsome Family have been labeled both alt-country and traditionalist, but truthfully their often dark music lies in a unique space somewhere in between, blending the sounds of traditional country and bluegrass (and, especially, murder ballads) into a more modern scenery. Vocalist and composer Brett Sparks hails from Texas, where he studied music and briefly worked around the oil rigs. By the mid-'90s, he resided in Chicago with his wife Rennie Sparks, a fiction writer originally from Long Island. Brett persuaded Rennie to write lyrics for him, leading to the unusual and striking form of the Handsome Family's songs -- evocative scenes and brief tales (of both the daydream and ghost-story varieties) in lieu of the standard verse-chorus-verse structure.

The Templeton Twins were not actually twins - it was Ted Templeman, former member of Harpers Bizarre ('Feeling Groovy") They split up in 1970. He then started the Templeton Twins. So this is technically not a duet since it's just one person, Ted, who over dubbed his voice, but let's not ruin the illusion. He then became an A&R man and then producer. Producing The Doobie Brothers, Van Morrison, Little Feat, The Beau Brummels, Van Halen, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and many others.

| Jackie Cain & Jack Lewis Lady Madonna single Capitol 1968 From Wikipedia: Jackie and Roy was an American jazz vocal team consisting of husband and wife singer Jackie Cain and singer / pianist Roy Kral. They sang together for 56 years and made almost 40 albums.[1]
Kral's obituary in The New York Times said: "Their voices had similar ranges but were an octave apart, creating unusual harmonies." I have CAin and Lewis as the artist. That's what is on the label of the 45, but, they must have changed it as some time. It was produced by Jack Lewis.

Mary Hopkin and Ian Cussick Medley: Here There And Everywhere/For No One Norwegian Wood SPV Records 1988 Mary Hopkin was an Apple artist who had some help help from Paul McCartney who picked songs for her ("Those Were The Days") wrote songs for her, ("Goodbye") and produced her, (Postcard). Ian Cussick is a singer-songwriter from Dundee, Scotland. After leaving school at the age of fifteen, Cussick formed several local band, with moderate success. In 1973, he answered an advertisement in Melody Maker for a "singer wanted", and flew to Germany to work with the popular showband Lake. He was the singer and bassist of Lake until 1974 and again in the year 2002. 2 years later, he was a member of Linda and the Funky Boys, who scored a hit with the early disco song "Shame Shame Shame", which sold around six million singles.Ian Cussick went on to record twelve solo albums, two EP's and four Live albums over a period of thirty years. In 2008, Hawkes released The Beatles Uke CD on Solid Air Records. The album consists of instrumental versions of 15 Beatles classics, in what he calls a “UKEsymphonic” style, using multi-tracked recordings to create a ukulele orchestra. The CD is a testimony to the influence that the Beatles, particularly McCartney, have had on Hawkes' music and career. Among other instruments, Hawkes owns and plays a Talsma custom ukulele.
