These pipes are what is called a caval in southern Romania, and fluier longa elsewhere. Very ong, and with 5 finger holes

translated on the CD cover as "pear-eyed bully". This group consists of 3 women, who play and sing. Here they accompany themselves only on Cobza, a sort of fretless lute

This segment will alternate between Soviet-era recordings (like this one), and modern recordings. The variation in orthography of the languages reflects this.
