And 84 years after that Bob Wills recording this group dedicated to keeping Wills' music alive celebrated their 50th year in the business with this album. Chris O'Connor, Katie Shore and Elizabeth McQueen on the vocals.

We almost always have some bluegrass music in the mix on the Back Country and I'm so pleased to see two such deserving figures inducted in the IBMA Hall of Fame Thursday night as these fellas. A couple of Monroe tunes are in order for the occasion.

St. Louis favorite Ryan Koenig celebrates his 37th birthday on Tuesday and he and The Goldenrods are playing the Fox Park Fall Festival next Saturday, October 8th, at 4 o'clock.

Another guy with a birthday and playing in our town is Dale Watson, who celebrates his 60th on Friday. Dale will be at Off Broadway on Wednesday, October 12th at 8PM.

The artists in this set are sharing a bill next Friday, October 7th at the Scheidigger Center for the Arts on the campus of Lindenwood University at 8PM. This is one of John's originals.

Great duet of a Haggard song. The three singers in this set, along with Ray Price, are tied for number one male vocalist in country music.
