| Loretta Lynn Miss Being Mrs. Van Lear Rose Interscope Records 2004 RIP Loretta Lynn who leaves behind a musical legacy which took place over sixty years and yielded 51 top 10 country hits. This album was made late in her career and Jack White produced the album. She wrote or co-wrote all thirteen songs. This song about the loss of her husband has always affected me. Probably not the most obvious song to play but it was recorded in such a way that it feels like she's right in front of you and just her voice and acoustic guitar makes it all that much more poignant. I love it as much as any Loretta Lynn song. |
