| Ivo Papazov and his orchestra Mominsko Horo Balkanology Rykodisk 1991 Papazov had been playing weddings in this new style for over 10 years before the Bulgarian government let him record this. Still, the recording was not legally available in Bulgaria because it was felt to be "not Bulgarian enough'; even then, some of the titles had to be changed to avoid censure . I bought a pirate tape of this piece and others, in Bulgaria in the 1980s. Everyone said the new "Wedding Music" would take over and be the wave of the future. By the time Papazov's band recorded their second CD, the style was already sounding old fashioned to Bulgarian audiences, that were starting to get into the newer "Kyuchek style", also introduced by Roma musicians. Whereas "Wedding music borrowed from jazz, "Kyuchek music" borrowed from Turkish music.
