Happy Halloween! Continue listening if you dare! Music bed. This instrumental features the ondes martenot which is somewhat akin to a theremin. They were made in France and the last one was made in 1988. This was released as a single b-side (Swinging Ghosts was the a-side) for the U.K.-based Oriole label in 1959. Seems like they missed a timing opportunity by releasing it in December of that year but, hey, that's just me.

The Halloween release of the year - two CDs of vintage 45s culled from Lux and Ivy's (of the Cramps) haunted basement. This was originally released as a single on the Cadence label in 1956.

Music bed. Rene Hall was a guitarist who played with many artists, most notably for Sam Cooke. This single was originally released on the Castil label as a promo but I can't find the year it was released, anywhere.

The Deep River Boys were a gospel group formed in the mid-30s but they also delved into jazz, doo-wop, and R&B. This was recorded sometime in the mid to late 30s but that's about all I can find out.

As bobEE Sweet of Uncontrollable Urge says, you can't really have a Halloween show without some Screamin' Jay Hawkins. This was originally released as the b-side to "I Put a Spell On You" on a 1956 Okeh single.
