Jackson Buck holds court every Thursday afternoon (4:00-6:00pm) on KFAI with his roots-rock show Freewheelin'. Tune in as Freewheelin’ delivers a free-flowing roots musical journey through the years of recorded history featuring the sounds of Americana, rockabilly, blues, alt-country, rock & roll, swing, folk, Cajun & zydeco, old-time, and a whole bunch of other crapola for your listening enjoyment.
No matter how it's labeled, this great music all falls under the roots umbrella. Jackson not only plays historical tracks from days gone by, but weaves the past into the present by including modern interpreters of the roots genre. Each show features new releases as well as a journey thru the years.

These are unique times, for sure. All the rules have been upended. All the fences are down. Or maybe they’re bigger than ever. I have no plans to tour until it’s safe, and there is no way of knowing when that’ll be. No way of knowing anything, at this point, except for the fact that all the income of touring musicians has been taken away. Whatever I make from the sales of these albums will likely be my only income for 2020. I’m not complaining. I’m extremely lucky to be able to do what I love, in the safety of my home. Many others are not so fortunate.

| Jerry Joseph and the Stiff Boys San Acacia The Beautiful Madness Cosmo Sex School Records 2020 Backed by Drive By Truckers; produced by Patterson Hood; Jason Isbell is on the album, too. Jerry Joseph has a new album coming out this month, The Beautiful Madness, produced by Patterson Hood and backed by the entire Drive-By Truckers band. Stitched together by a common thread of raw honesty, the DBT adopted a style that dovetails seamlessly with Jerry Joseph’s songs. The project is very powerful and versatile. After the entire band supported Joseph on the album, including one song with Jason Isbell, they were going to tour together to co-promote The Beautiful Madness along with the Drive-By Truckers’ new album. Those plans have currently been rescheduled. Americana Highways was honored to talk to Jerry Joseph about all of this, for over an hour while Joseph walked in the park saying hello to dogs and ducking lawnmower noise.
