Dirt Track Date is the fifth full-length album by Southern Culture on the Skids. The band attracted a modicum of national attention in 1995 with the release of the song "Camel Walk" from this album.

Rock Hall of Famer Dion returns yet again, this time with a brand new holiday themed track. The new song, “You Know It’s Christmas,” out November 20th through KTBA (Keeping The Blues Alive) Records, the label founded by Joe Bonamassa and his management team. KTBA released Dion’s Blues With Friends, a massively successful album that has occupied the #1 slot on Billboard Blues Chart numerous times since its release this past June. The new song was written by Dion along with Mike Aquilina who co-wrote many of songs that are heard on Blues With Friends. Dion revealed the impetus for following up that album with “Hello Christmas.”

Lennon is a four-CD box set compilation, featuring highlights from the solo musical career of John Lennon. It was released in 1990 and is not to be confused with the 2015 box set of the same name, which comprised Lennon's eight original studio albums on vinyl LPs.

This new single from The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band pays tribute to a couple of Rev's influences. "You Can’t Judge A Book By Looking At The Cover” is a rollicking version of the song that was made popular by Bo Diddley but was written by one of the greatest American songwriter's Willie Dixon. The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band are the greatest front-porch blues band in the world. The band is led by Reverend Peyton, who most consider to be the premier finger picker playing today. He has earned a reputation as both a singularly compelling performer and a persuasive evangelist for the rootsy, country blues styles that captured his imagination early in life and inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi to study under such blues masters as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards.

Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde was the perfect title for the album as the Byrds would produce music that spanned their career. Their country roots would lead to a number of tracks but Roger McGuinn would also reach back into the group’s past for some good old psychedelic rock ‘n’ roll. It may not have been cohesive but it sure was interesting. As the last remaining original member there was little doubt that by this time Roger McGuinn was in charge. Tom Petty's band from Gainesville, FL with Mike Campbell and Belmont Trench. They broke up and became Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Petty was a fan of, and influenced by, The Byrds. "Lover of the Bayou" was originally written by Roger McGuinn and Jacques Levy. McGuinn is better known as the lead singer and guitarist for The Byrds; Jacques Levy was a songwriter and theater director, who collaborated with McGuinn in 1969 with an interest in making a Broadway musical.

""Complicated" is one of the songs on Between the Buttons that clearly illustrates the schizophrenic nature of the album. Sounding like a Yardbirds outtake, it has a slightly Eastern feel that is framed by a fuzzed-out electric guitar. The main melody has a slightly clumsy feel to it, sounding like it was written in some haste, which, given the Rolling Stones' 1966 schedule, is probably true. An almost interesting character study of the band's favorite subject (confused women), there is a certain period charm here." amg

One the most accurate songs about LSD, "Something Happened to Me Yesterday" closed out the Rolling Stones' Between the Buttons album with a combination of social commentary, personal insight, and a strong sense of comedy, something that the band had been exploring. The lyrics do not recount the LSD experience necessarily but focus on what happens after the trip and how it relates to the subjects dealings with society. Although this sounds rather heavy, it is dealt with with a sense of whimsy, which is wholly refreshing, especially considering the time in which it was written. Mirroring this is the music, which is a combination of trad jazz and folk-country -- almost like Leadbelly or Woody Guthrie writing about acid." allmusic.com

Throughout the spring and early summer of 2020 Austin released several more songs via his Instagram including songs that he released tiny clips of earlier in his solo career around 2014 and 2015. In the summer of 2020 while in quarantine due to the 2019-2020 Covid-19 Pandemic Austin has released several Instagram live videos confirming he is in the studio and working on new music hopefully to be released later this year. One of the tracks Austin played in the Instagram Live video's was a new fully recorded and finished song titled "Georgia". A few other tracks has been played but unnamed and unreleased. wiki
