Dawn Axness Quigley is an Author and Assistant Professor of Education at St. Catherine's University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Quigley will be participating in a national on-line event occurring on Wednesday, February 10, sponsored by Harper-Collins Publishers of Childrens' Books. Dawn's contribution will be in the form of a series of chapter books.

Quigley sees her calling is to amplify Native voices in literature and education. To that end, Dawn maintains a blog, "Native Reader," which seeks to uphold the dignity of Native People(s) by making reviews and recommendations on literature appropriately and authentically portraying Native People. She is the Author of, "Apple in the Middle," an award winning novel on Native youth identity and experience based on her life. She is a sought after speaker and presenter including the Loft Literary Center's "Wordsmith" celebration, and "Indigenous Representations" at St. Catherine's.
