Special Segments: Frothing At the Beaker: A Jerry Modjeski Memorial

A memorial program for Jerry Modjeski, a KFAI Programmer for over 20 years, who passed away recently. Frothing At the Beaker was one of several shows he hosted and produced in those years, made up largely of obscure music, faux sponsor ads, and surrealist social commentary, all with found sound collages as background. Technically adept and aurally imaginative, with his friends Chuck Isle and Mark Masyga, it was largely improvised, or if scripted it was read cold. A perfect example of early KFAI - or any young community radio station.
