Sound Affects: A Radio Playground

Where "radio play" is the important part of the phrase. Hosted by Jerry Stearns.

A showcase of audio theater, featuring the best of contemporary audio theater, snippets from Old Time Radio drama, spoken word comedy, and talk about and with some of the skillful practitioners of the Theater of the Mind, we'll bring the best there is from around the world to your ears.

Look for these feature segments:

Selected Shorts: Short skits, excerpts from Old Time Radio, interviews with writers and producers of audio theater, unusual bits of audio art.
Evening Matinee: Tonight's Feature Presentation. It might be an episode of a longer "novel length" work, or it might be a complete Firesign Theatre album from the 60s. Check the Sound Affects website for a schedule of upcoming features.
The Thrilling Conclusion: A short piece of something silly. Single sketches, or part of an ongoing serial. The perfect thing to conclude your Sunday evening entertainment, that will let you go to sleep with a smile on your imagination.

You can find more about the program and a weekly schedule of what's on the show at the Sound Affects website.
