If i understand the point of your guest today, the event involves watching films, commenting that may include raised voices, and potentially stopping the film by acclimation of the crowd. If so, then perhaps a (trite 80s) set of songs for this would be "Girls on Film," "Whisper to a Scream," and "Bang a Gong." To stick with the 80s triteness, the last one would be the Power Station version.
