This Sunday in the wake of Minneapolis celebrated justice prevailing for George Floyd for the first time in the courtroom against a Minneapolis Police officer who brutally took his life in broad daylight on the street with all the world see. We already find ourselves in pain and suffering and protest over another youth killed by Police in broad daylight for cameras to see. Without these cameras watching where would we be? We are all sad about the gun violence and death that guns have caused us in this society. In this episode, we cover our Kingdom Praise word of the day "Chosen" and what it means biblically to choose. Let us choose our leaders wisely because the decisions we need to make in this year and the coming years are counting on them.

One of the first holidays of the season is here. Easter weekend brings candy, egg hunts, and bunny rabbits. Sunday is the day Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and even those who don’t worship regularly will throw on their best clothes and head to church. This show is dedicated to Easter 2021, Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the story of the birth of Christian hip hop and rap.
Since Kingdom Praise is new to KFAI 1, I know many of you are wondering what church and hip-hop have in common. Well even though most don’t put the two together, Christian hip-hop has been around almost as long as hip-hop itself —and it emerged out of the same urban communities. At the time Christian rap only existed in small underground scenes, with very little industry promotion and even smaller mainstream attention. Today's show will cover one of the first Christian hip hop artists to emerged on record in 1982 with the track “Jesus Christ (The Gospel Beat)” by MC Sweet of Queens, New York, and the “Bible Break” by Oklahoma artist Stephen Wiley, the first full-length Christian rap album, released in 1985, the title track became a hit on Christian radio in 1986. Christian hip-hop stayed almost exclusively underground until the late ’90s-early 2000s. Tune is for more....
