The radio show “Various Positions: Eclectic Music” airs it’s first one hour edition this Saturday June 1, 2019 , from 5 pm til 6 pm on KFCF 88.1 fm….It is a weekly musical conversation between co-host Lili and Roger Perry…..Lili is a lifelong music enthusiast, that I met in the early 1980’s….She has since became an influential, local business person, while Roger claims to have remained a mostly unknown local musician……The hour is like a musical poker game….Lili offers up some 80’s rock or a pleasant blend of unique show tunes, nostalgic jazz and pop songs, but she isn’t afraid to play some funk or Aaron Copeland…Roger says: “I try to counter her musical selections with an often obtuse, but cohesive counterpoint….We may play Oingo Boingo followed by John Renbourn doing a guitar twist on O’Carolyn….She might play an odd Sinatra cut, which I answer with a gunfighter ballad…..This is one of the most musically diverse shows on local radio…..We are happy to be part of making Fresno a little more arty…”
