This show is eclectic with a capital E, covering a wide variety of musical genres. First and foremost there’s jazz, which Dr. B considers “the most amazing music ever created.” He also proudly puts the spotlight on Maui’s abundance of wonderful local musicians and shares classic and contemporary Hawaiian songs to celebrate our host culture. World music – like Latin, African, Asian and other ethnic rarities – reaffirm that we are a world musical culture. Oldies by the likes of Elvis and Buddy Knox take you back in time while all kinds of singer-songwriters find their way into the mix. Each show is improvised and sequenced moment by moment by Dr. B depending on the mood and flow – always with the intention to share music that makes you feel energized and uplifted.
