KRFC is a volunteer-driven, non-commercial radio station based in Fort Collins, Colorado that serves the community of Northern Colorado with music, news, and public affairs programming, which can be heard at 88.9 FM and online at www.krfcfm.org.

Radio has long been a central part of Lex’s life, beginning with a transistor radio and WABC, New York’s popular Top 40 station back in the day. Later his car radio was set to WNEW-FM the progressive rock station that dominated NY’s airwaves in the 70’s. Discovering non-commercial radio was an epiphany, and he’s been tuned to the left side of the FM dial since. “I began programming at KRFC when the station went live in March of 2003 with a show called Film Cuts, which featured music from movies. That show was retired after seven years and now I enjoy exploring the vast variety of great new music available for programming the Afternoon Mix. I feel the community radio is a rare gem in a homogenized world and am grateful for the opportunity to be involved.”
