Hello all, My name is Austin Hall and I am currently the host of "Metal Mania!" on 88.9 KRFC FM. Thanks for checking out my profile page! I suppose some introductions are in order. I first started with KRFC (and radio in general) in about 2002 or 2003, attending technical meetings for KRFC before the station went on the air. I then went on to be one of the original members for one of KRFC's earliest shows, "Minor Talk," while attending high school (2003-2004). I have also volunteered for KRFC at various other points, and have been the host of "Metal Mania!" since 2012. After my first stint with KRFC I went on to KCSU, where I hosted a variety of shows, including one in primetime, one specialty, one news/talk show (co-host), and one overnight (and I am very proud to say that one of my shows became one of the few shows at the station to gain a corporate sponsor). I also served as a Genre Director while at KCSU, winning the award for "Hardest Working Genre Director" in 2007. After KCSU I moved on to an intern position at Clear Channel, during which time I had the opportunity to learn about the technology used for uploading promotion into the system as well as getting to work with an on-air DJ as well (97.9 FM). I have also had the pleasure of attending several live promotional events throughout my radio life for every station that I have been at. As far as personal stuff goes, I enjoy getting together with friends/family, writing (scripts/books/songs/etc.), playing guitar, sports, and, of course, doing radio (among other things). Thank you all once again for checking out my profile page and I look forward to hearing from you all out there in Radioland!
