After hearing the live broadcast of Arlo Guthrie’s “Alice’s Restaurant” on WBAI-FM in 1967, Michael was hooked! A lifelong fan of the unique intimacy of radio, Michael grew up in the New York metropolitan area listening to some of the best radio broadcasting in the country. After graduating from New York University, playing guitar in several bands, and teaching at an inner-city high school, Michael headed west to Colorado. Thirty-five years later, after raising four children with his wife, Leslie, he retired from a successful career as an architect and walked into the KRFC 88.9 FM Radio Fort Collins studios hoping to somehow become involved in radio.
