I have always had an interest in radio and broadcasting ever since i heard Sonny & Cher coming through my Panasonic clock radio at 9 years old. :-)
I never pursued that interest until later in life as I never had an opportunity but all of that changed when i became a volunteer at KRVM around 2014 helping out on phones for fundraisers. I also became friends with some of the DJ's and had the opportunity to learn broadcasting. I worked with Ken Martin who taught me and was patient in explaining things to me. I did a lot of 1 hour practice shows for about 6 months that Ken would go over with me. I was given my first opportunity to host a show which was the Beatles Hour. I then began sitting in to DJ on a variety of shows on KRVM as a sub. I eventually pitched a show to the program manager I called "Decades of Rock". He liked the idea and I had my own show on Fridays nights for a couple of years.

As my interest in writing music become more time consuming as well as playing in a band (JMR) I handed over "Decades of Rock" to another Upcoming DJ who still rocks it today.
It's been awhile since i have broadcasted live in the studio but I'm looking forward to being back on the air for December 2023 hosting GTR RAdio.
