I know there were a lot of listeners there the same night I was, but at a big place like that I wasn't able to run into anyone. That's awesome you did, though.

Rad. That's the one I was at. The setlist for the Friday show was phenomenal though. I really wish I was able to go to both.

Different set list, I’ll look it up. Yeah, they didn’t do a couple of songs I expected them too. Damn shame that was my first time seeing Slayer.

Hey, at least you made it. And your one show was beyond historical.

I probably saw them about a dozen times or so over the years. But now I'm regretting every show I missed.

Yeah, I didn’t want to have a regret like never getting to see Motörhead.

For sure. I never saw them, either. They're right at the top of my list of regrets.

Cool you saw them when Lombardo and Jeff were in the band.

That was only a couple times, unfortunately. The first time I saw them was in the Divine Intervention days, so Dave was already gone. But a few of the shows in the middle, it was the core lineup.

The last time I saw them with Jeff, you could hear how much trouble he was having with his hand. He couldn't nail the solos at all. It was kind of sad, but also awesome that he was up there giving it everything he had anyway.

Jeff, damn, well awesome you got to see him.

I just got off the Discogs site right now. I was trying to get registered as a user, and was messing with a bunch of usernames and passwords that I had stored somewhere (I finally found them). Then I bought a CD from a seller in Germany, and I had a little trouble with that at first, but it's now all done! Whew!!

I've had four orders from Discogs arrive this week alone.

Oh, I Guess Crazy Train Is Too Mainstream For This Radio Show.

Once you realize everything is out there, it's real easy to start ordering it.

Crazy Train is awesome, but other stations play it a lot. I'd rather people get to hear music here that they don't get to hear anywhere else.

Yeah, and I found some CDs I've been looking for that are WAY WAY cheaper on Discogs than that website named after a major river in South America. ; )

Ha. For sure. Shipping from overseas can be pricey, but if you order multiple items it can end up being easily worth it. I've found a whole bunch of discs for $3-$4 that I've never seen anywhere else for cheaper than $20.

I know it happened a few days ago, but I just found out tonight that Neil Peart of Rush died from brain cancer. He was my favorite drummer, probably ever. I've been bummed all night. : (

Yes! I'm so glad you dig it. Like I said, one of my favorite records of all time and no one else seems to know about it. I'm honored to have introduced it to your collection.

One of the greatest drummers of all time, for sure. That's a big loss.

I bought my (then) 5 year-old niece a little play drum set for Christmas one year. Me and her dad are hanging out, just flipping channels, and we stumble across a Rush concert on TV... Next thing I know, Shae (my niece) starts pounding on that little drum set, mimicking Neil's solo as fast as her little arms could. It was both adorable and awesome.

And I want SO BAD for John to do a tribute to Neil on his Boss Guy show either Sunday or next Sunday, but I know he doesn't like Rush (because of Geddy Lee's high vocal register).

I'm sure he'll play something.

I don't even know if he has any Rush in his collection. If worse comes to worse, I will drive over to his framing shop personally and let him borrow all my Rush CDs from the '70s for his show. The '80s material he can play on his World show.

Ha. Don't forget Roll the Bones, though. That's got a few real strong cuts on it.

Yeah, Rush has been a consistently powerful band throughout their entire career. I only regret that I never got to see them live.
