sorry about the colleges shutting down. tough break. much love to you guys. especially the intl students.

I wanted to ask shmal the mood on campus last show but that was a prerecord. she hasnt been a scripps student for quite a while but has that institutional memory for stuff being unprecedented for claremont at least. good thing this is no where near as bad as some past pandemics

thanks so much, it's been rough, but that's true for a lot of folks out there. really appreciate the concern

I feel the mood on campus has been pretty melancholy, but i think people have been committed to doing the best they can

yeah it's tough when people need to be around other people to feel better. obviously some classes lend themselves to online formats (lectures) better than others (labs, art, drama) etc but still nice to have the events to distract honestly. i was a little surprised sports didnt move forward with no spectators, but i suppose they might just be postponing seasons and not outright cancelling. can go later in summer for sure.

a lot of my family is already quarantined and or being tested due to travel, being in a nursing home, or other building where the virus was. and it's likely my cousin is stuck in japan for some time as she was previously in china and probably will test positive. but all we can do sometimes is pray
