After listening to Taylor's show which ended at 1am (crossing into Saturday morning), I had insomnia and ended up listening to a bunch of KSPC rewind shows right up to the point when Skip came in to do his polka show. The second song he played was called "Casaletti's Polka" (written about Casaletti's Polka Palace out in Etiwanda, which no longer exists, and is now known as the Etiwanda Road House). I had no idea anyone had recorded a song about it!

Back when Juli and I were dating many years ago, whenever we happened to drive by it, we would joke with each other about it, saying we should go inside and check it out (it was like a restaurant/bar that had live polka bands perform there), but we never got around to it. It's still a running joke we have with each other. When I told her yesterday morning about the song, she was in sheer disbelief! I couldn't find a recording of it on YouTube, but oddly enough I found a CD online with the song.
