I watched Batman Forever, and enjoyed the scene where Robin "borrowed" the Batmobile, and the Offspring's cover of Smash it Up was on the radio

Our new cat Abigail was racing around the apartment like a mad woman a little while ago! She was kept in a cage about the size of a phone booth (remember those?) with a striped Manx cat at the shelter where I got her from. Now she has so much room to run around and be free, makes me think of Iron Maiden’s first single you played last week!

I played Spy Vs. Spy a lot because I was such a fan of the comic strip, but I'm not sure I ever really got good at it, either.

And by the way, we checked the shelter website, and the Manx cat just got adopted too!

Honestly, the worst was before they changed to this newer Spinitron chat. There was no way to block people because they could just log back in under a different name. I had to shut down the chat for a few months because some dude kept sending me really violent abusive messages.

I guess he assumed I was gay, because it was a lot of really heinous homophobic comments.

Which I obviously have zero tolerance for.

We used to hang out with Johnny Otis when he did his show at KPFK. He would get the occasional BS call.

Honestly, I have no idea what his damage was. I started deleting his messages because at first it was just him telling me everything I was playing sucked and here's what bands I should play instead.

But then it escalated from there. Usually when you ignore a nuisance they just go away. But with this guy, the more I refused to respond to anything he baited me with, the angrier and more hateful he got.

Maybe all the bands were on the same label and it was Jimmy Iovine calling

And when you take it to that place, you're attacking friends and family of mine. It took everything I had not to lose my professionalism and destroy this guy in public.

Nah, Papa. Never really been nervous. I feel worse for some of the female DJs... I'm sure you can imagine some of the harassing messages I've seen them get over the years. For a while I was starting all of my shows with 7-8 minute songs because the DJ on before me was getting really heinous messages, so I would play a long song to start the show and walk her to her car.

Weird request but I'd love to hear Bruce Campbell by Psychostick ? Definitely not as heavy as darkthrone but it'd be appreciated haha

That’s the great thing about radio and television… if you don’t like what you hear or see, you can always switch to a different station or channel, or just turn it off altogether!
