Although, I will say the casting of the '90s Adams Family film was spot-on. Christina Ricci was a killer Wednesday.

I'm skeptical about Rob Zombie's Munsters reboot. I'm not sure I'll end up watching that. I've only liked one of his movies, and pretty much hated all of the others.

That said, his Halloween movies were better than that abysmal 2018 reboot.

So was the casting of the Brady Bunch movies. Munsters still head and shoulders better than the Addams Family.

They were still terrible... but H2018 was legitimately one of the worst movies ever made. I've been a fan of the franchise my entire life, but that one killed my enthusiasm entirely. I didn't see Halloween Kills and I won't see the new one either.

Dude, the original is like, holy to me. And I've enjoyed all of the sequels on some level, even the really bad ones. I even respected that Zombie wanted to go a different way with his versions, and though I disagreed with his vision there were some genuinely great elements in them. But that piece of shit they made in 2018... Dude. I was literally angry when it was over.

You're a true fan. Sometimes the things we love suck but we try and convince ourselves it's not that bad. Unfortunately we have to admit it isn't. Sometimes not so easy.

I enjoyed the third Halloween from the 80s, no Michael Myers in it but the Silver Shamrock masks were creepy

I LOVE Halloween III. I understand why people were miffed Michael Myers wasn't in it, but as a stand-alone story, it was very creative and had lots of classic moments.

There's no franchise that more accurately embodies your statement than Halloween, Papa.

Some of those later sequels are REALLY bad, but I appreciate them as 90 minute bursts of stupid fun. Which is a totally different level than I appreciate the original film on.

My buddy who went with me, it was his first Slayer show. He said, Man, I feel like I was just introduced to something special, and now it's over forever.

It was heavy, Papa. Tom Araya just stood at the front of the stage for like five minutes, and you could see he was emotional, too. Everyone was chanting "Thank you, Slayer"... It was a moment, for sure.

Overall, definitely. Jane's Addiction was a force of nature.

John Frusciante is an excellent guitar player as well, but I think his role in that band limits him from really tapping into his abilities.

For sure, man. The Chilis have such a rigid sound now. He pretty much just lays down one basic riff for a whole song and calls it a day.

I'll put Nothing's Shocking up against anything RHCP ever put out. No contest.

I dug what Navarro brought to the Chili's on that one record they joined up for. A lot more different directions in the sound, and more energy for sure.

Probably not the right chemistry for the long-term, but it was a cool way for them to go when John wasn't in the band.

There's a reason John is playing in a successful band and Dave hosts television shows.

Jane's is actually touring with Smashing Pumpkins right now, with all original members. They couldn't sustain their chemistry for more than those few records, but it doesn't take away from what they did together.

And from my understanding, Dave got tired of the grind on the road and wanted to focus on his family, which is the main reason he stopped being in touring bands. Dude still wails.

Taylor did you like Porno for Pyros ? The song "Pets" is ear candy to me.

I dug "Pets" a lot, but that record is just kinda meh. But the second record Good God's Urge is criminally underrated. Such a great record.

Some bands are meant to burn bright for a short period of time. Jane's Addiction was very much of that era, and they basically started alternative rock as we know it today.

Yet they couldn't see it through and didn't survive.

I wouldn't want to hear a new Jane's record, even with the same members. Because they'd just be treading water try to recapture a lost magic they once had... So basically, they'd be the Chili Peppers.

At least the Chili Peppers would have sold something

Yeah, when you make safe middle of the road music that doesn't challenge you or your audience, you tend to sell a lot of records. Just look at Coldplay.

It was so much needed. 🙏 But I'm definitely happy for Fri nights here again. It was definitely a long week but I'm glad to be here once again 😸 (just got home)

I go visit my parents a few times a week, and being able to do that isn't something I ever take for granted.

My heart goes out to your family for having to be separated. I bet your dad loved having you with him for those few weeks.

Sorry, was driving earlier. But my dad is doing ok. It is a bit frustrating how the medical systems are sometimes. But of course we were able to get some test results and he'll be going in for more appointments. While I was there with him I also spent time with my grandma and other family members I hadn't been around since I was 1. So everyone is grown up and it's interesting seeing how we are all related. It was a nice feeling.

Family is family. I'm at a family reunion and still concerned about my metal family. Just need to hear from Joe now.

Thank you all. It was a definitely something we both needed. Spending time with family is so important. that's why I'm also glad to be here and spend these few moments in great company!
