i think its been 2 decades since i had a RC

most mental hospitals across the US shut down in the mid to late 80s that when shyte started getting fugged up with the severely mentally ill getting tossed into the streets

CA has a $97 billion surplus the governor said and that’s largely where health and safety stuff comes from as opposed to feds. But Dman more concerned pretty much all our tech talent is educated abroad and just comes for a masters degree and sometimes stays . That’s how bad our K-12 is so few people in masters programs went to domestic schools in engineering stuff

There is big money in herding the mentally ill and early release folks around...BIG money-- the more we spend, the worse it gets--I like Pikachu's idea

Sadly they destroy everything around them and the crime is rampant- nothing short of drug free institutions behind tall, strong fences will work- at some point - dman is on the right track- some kind of training and pathway to viable employment needs to be imposed as well--simply running around doing whatever to innocent people and communities is failing miserably

the closest one to me lives a block away in the the bushes on the side of the freeway offramp. only a wire fence keeps him out of our neighborhood. if he steps a foot in our neighborhood and i see him, im gonna burn his stuff when hes not there so he has to move on

Luckily my neighborhood pretty good but it’s definitely holding back downtown LA . New residential construction costs an insane amount and CA is one of the worst places for business and construction

I used to do food ministry to homeless in pomona. That was a long time ago. People occasionally had some hotel housing but a lot are mentally I’ll and substance abuse. Very sad. They often want to be housed but sometimes rules too strict and they like freedom too much
