Hey shmal hopefully Dman not too tardy to the party! Was just talking to coworkers about Moneyland, fascinating book about how kleptocrats all over the world steal and hide public funds. Heard long interview with the author a while back and it came up today when people at work joking about their own private offshore tax haven haha

Moneyland by Oliver Burroughs, he writes for the Guardian. Lots of interesting Caribbean, Ukraine, Africa, Central Asia stories. Isle of Jersey between France and England is a huge tax shelter and kinda a no mans land

I think l most of big tech and media needs broken up and I know that’s an Elizabeth Warren issue. They’d be much more dynamic and competitive as pro consumer companies if not so vertically integrated and too few market players

He didn't win last time but he definitely changed the political conversation and showed there's a different way.

Yeah joe Biden is pretty vulnerable tho Warren and Bernie might kinda split that constituency

I'm personally looking forward to Bernie's big endorsement rally with Alexandria Ocasio Cortez this weekend! I volunteered for her in her primary by writing postcards :)

Oh I wish! My parents just got back from European cruise! They never do stuff like that. Flew to barcelona and took a boat to Nice and amalfi coast Italy etc.

Italy is a great travel destination. Great food, friendly people, and amazing art and architecture.

I really need to get into female artists more. I remember seeing Homecoming documentary on Beyoncé’s coachella performance and being blown away
