With KTUH General Manager
MNL is KTUH’s ‘learning lab’ for staff who want to learn basic audio engineering. The program has existed in various forms for at least three decades, and has been in its current form for about fifteen years. At 9pm is the Best of Monday Night Live, featuring occasional interviews with the band du jour. At 10pm is Monday Night Live proper, featuring an hour of original music from one of Hawaiʻi’s best local bands.
If you would like to appear on Monday Night Live, e-maillive@ktuh.org or call our office at 956-5288. Be sure to include your name, your band’s name, and contact info (e-mail & phone#).
There are no genre restrictions for bands who play on MNL, only a requirement of 60 minutes of straight, mostly original music (at least 99% original- sorry, no cover bands allowed). Rock, punk, reggae, hip-hop, jazz, whatever; as long as it’s live, we’ll take it!
We’re proud of our history of giving local musicians a forum for their original work.
