Michael Mercury was born in Tokyo, Japan, of American parents and has

lived throughout the world. Mercury spent his formative years living in
Puerto Rico with his family until the age of four. Raised by a Puerto Rican
mother has afforded Mercury a unique perspective when it comes to the
language of astrology. His magical childhood memories have taken
Mercury back to his beloved island throughout his life, enriching him in
both the Latin culture and the western world. His geographical travels
have ranged from Texas to Iran, New Mexico, Germany, Montreal to
Florida, Georgia to Switzerland and California where he received his
Master's degree in Fine Arts from the University of California, Davis.
Mercury's interest in occult studies began long ago in Berkeley, California.
From that cultural hotbed he gained insight and proficiency in palmistry,
aura readings, and astrology. He has had in-depth studying of Buddhism,
Zen, Kabala, Christianity, Hinduism, and the way of the Sufis. He has
spent the past year studying yoga and has renewed the ancient practice of
combining yoga and astrology.
As his early travels suggest, Mercury was to take a serendipitous route to
his current role as an astrological talk show host, and an astrological
columnist. Mercury is currently hosting the popular Sacramento based
radio talk show, "The Center of the Universe" on KDVS 90.3 FM
(www.kdvs.org). Launched in 1998, Mercury's program has become the
highest rated program in the stations history, now pulling in an estimated
40,000 listeners per week.

Mercury brings to his weekly newspaper column (The Aggie) a profound
knowledge of astrology and insight into the human heart and condition.
His highly developed sense of intuition, quick wit and prescient awareness
delivers a positive message that his readers have come to love.
