Marty Tippens

Marty Tippens is a recent transplant from Southern California where he performed as a guitarist and drummer with a host of bands including many surf music legends such as The Insect Surfers, John Blair, Paul Johnson (“Mr. Moto”) and New Mexico legend, George Tomsco (guitarist with the Fireballs who had the hit “Sugar Shack” in 1963). He disk-jockeyed for KCSN in the early 2000’s and performed on the air for Seattle’s KEXP and Loyola Marymount’s KXLU and on The Josh Gates Tonight show (Discovery Channel). His musical interests are wide, covering various forms of classical, jazz, classic rock, and country.
