Corridos

New Mexican corridos along with their stories. Corridos are Mexican ballads that developed out of the Romancero folk music tradition of Spain. They tell about the heroic people and events of the moment. The famous, or even infamous, were immortalized in song. Even guns were sung about and honored! We have our own corrios about Nuevo Mexicanos concerning what was happed in New Mexico, the nation, and the world.
