In the 80s, when I was living in LA, I knew a woman who visited the Dominican Republic, and she said the dance clubs played music with tempos that were incredibly fast! I believe it!

yep, Haiti got the worst of it.. the quake devastated their half of the island. You are right I wonder why we don't hear so much about what happened in D.R. Wonder what we will hear with all these tropical storms/hurricanes coming their way.
