I clearly remember my dad introducing me to this record when I was 8 or 9. My head quite figuratively exploded.

Was going to say that I think you're the only KXCI host that I've heard who plays Chicago.

Their first three are my favorites. I was a HUGE Chicago fan when I was in HS.

I feel you. Those horns, tho.

Take that back: I love Chicago V as well. Yeah, the horns are what got me into them. Plus, they had such interesting compositions and diverse vocal styles, at least in the early days. The latest documentary about them ("Now More Than Ever", I think?) is really cool.

Ooh, I haven't seen it! I've got to pick up the pace. I've got dozens of music documentaries queued up. I'll definitely check that one out.

I think you'd appreciate it. And it's not always pretty. I don't watch much TV, and not many documentaries, but this one was recommended to me by a friend, and I found it compelling.

Btw, I love the new Robert Glasper release!!!

Ugh, I didn't. It's hard to get out these days--my partner also works in the music industry, so he works a lot of show nights. Gotta get the babysitter situation on lock, haha.

Yeah, I was wondering if you guys were even seeing live shows yet. I know several months ago you were hesitant, but things have settled a bit with the virus.

Well, there's a slew of shows I can't and won't miss coming up. A chance to make up for lost time ;-).

Bridgitte's interview with Ms. Ian, which I absolutely loved, inspired me to want to see her on this farewell tour! I'll be going to see her in Nashville on May 27. 😁

I haven't seen the video! I have literally been taking notes from you today on things I need to catch up on, haha.

I'm so glad you're enjoying the music out of Ukraine. There's a lovely and deep sea of dream pop and post punk that I'm looking forward to exploring.

Yes I'm seeing that, and I had no idea! Through the week, many of the DJs have been playing Ukrainian selections, but I haven't heard so much pop and post-punk. So cool to hear this music!

Hah, well I'm happy to be able to provide these "oh by the way.." things. It's almost always the other way around. 🎶
