10:03 PM		Earthless Night Parade Of One Hundred Demons, Pt. 2 N Night Parade Of One Hundred Demons Nuclear Blast 2022 Soaring instrumental release from this trock trio. Entire album - from artwork to music - inspired by the Japanese folklore/art of Hyakki Yagyō, which tells of supernatural creatures that cause pandemonium. This cut is the second of three pieces that make up this LP. Reminds you of King Crimson?
10:28 PM		Sleep The Druid Sleep's Holy Mountain Earache Records 1992 Influential stoner rock band from California. This is the band's second studio LP and was performed in its entirety at 2009's All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
10:33 PM		Voivod Quest for Nothing N Synchro Anarchy Century Media 2022 Latest release (and 15th overall) from the Canadian prog metal band. Heavy sci-fi elements throughout, as marks much of Voivod's work. I prefer them to Rush.
10:39 PM		Melvins Civilized Worm (A) Senile Animal Ipecac Recordings 2006 Another 15th studio LP, this from the still-active Melvins. Following the departure of bassist Kevin Rutmanis, Dale Crover and King Buzzo connected with the bombastic Big Business on this release, featuring the power of two drummers! The Melvins will be playing at Club Congress on Saturday, June 18th!
10:48 PM		Electric Wizard Weird Tales / Electric Frost / Golgotha / Altar of Melektaus Dopethrone Rise Above Limited 2006 On this, the English stoner/doom/sludge metal band's third studio LP, Electric Wizard leaned heavily into its horror and drug influences (both real and imaginary) to create what ended up becoming a masterpiece in the genre, despite their best efforts at creating a foul album. GG Allin this ain't!
11:02 PM		Blood Incantation EA N Timewave Zero Century Media 2022 You wouldn't know it from this release (though the band's name may give it away), but Blood Incantation is a death metal band from Denver, CO, heard here dialing it back quite a way. In doing so, they've created an ambient, almost 80s cinematic album that stands as several musical movements. "EA" is actually four movements, heard here it is entirety.
11:24 PM		Laurie Anderson O Superman (For Massenet) Big Science Warner Bros. 1982 Big hit for experimental songwriter for this English songwriter from this debut LP, heavily pushed by influential BBC programmer John Peel. Fans of the tech sci-fi show Black Mirror will recognize this cut from the "true" ending to the choose-your-own-adventure film Bandersnatch. My 5 year-old demands I play this all the time.
11:33 PM		Kraftwerk Radioactivity Radio-Activity (Remastered) Parlophone UK 2009 Originally release in 1975, this marks the only single released from Kraftwerk's fifth studio LP. A concept album (as many Kraftwerk releases were) about radiowaves and related concepts. Takes me back to early "Hex Enduction Hours" epsidoes/shows.

This does remind me of some of the prog stuff I used to listen to, but not Crimson. For example, the lead guitar is definitely not Fripp.

Sun City Girls isn't spooky, per se. It can be quite chill, heavily influenced by world music. Just gives me the creeps for some reason. Like seeing people play with stickers while I eat
